Who I am

A business grad who took the
road less travelled

My degree is in Tourism and Hospitality Management — far more rigorous than it sounds, and it gave me skills most traditional finance graduates don't always carry.

I graduated from the University of Dhaka — one of the country's most competitive universities. That background sharpened my instincts for people, cross-cultural communication, and staying composed when processes get complex.

Within my first year working, I've been inside a legal MIS department at IDLC Finance, represented Bangladesh in cross-border youth dialogue, helped a US-partnered programme lift outreach rates by 20%, and landed a compliance role at British American Tobacco Bangladesh — handling SOX testing, IFRS reconciliations, and risk monitoring across two countries.

I'm not from a classic finance background. I think that actually helps. I ask the questions others assume are already answered, communicate with clarity, and take ownership of outcomes — not just tasks.
